Amigos is leading a test project to beautify the city and better serve residents through enhanced bus shelters. Working in collaboration with the Division of Transportation Services, Amigos is engaging over 200 residents and businesses in a participatory design process. We performed surveys, focus groups with different stakeholder communities, and interviews with transportation professionals. We are synthesizing these results to produce several draft designs which will be shown to residents and focus groups. Five new demonstration bus shelters will be built on Peck Road and the City will consider similar projects for the entire city.
