One of AMIGOS goals is educating our community about environmental issues that impact our local area. A topic we feel passionately about is the importance of Green Infrastructure (GI), a methodology we incorporate in our park and trail designs and how it can benefit our communities; especially GI’s impact on the local watershed areas of the Emerald Necklace.
We felt this article “Smart Communities will Build Green Infrastructure“, written by Annie Donovan, for Skoll World Forum and republished by Forbes – Entrepreneurs on January 22, 2013, offers insights into the importance of Green Infrastructure and the organizations that are working together to incorporate it into cities across the United States.
