Is comprised of 37 member agencies of government and organizations in and around Los Angeles. All have signed on to the Emerald Necklace Accord a legal document that pledges its signatories to work collaboratively to preserve the Los Angeles and San Gabriel watersheds and their rivers and tributaries for recreational, open space, environmental education, job training, native habitat restoration, and conservation, and non-vehicular transportation purposes.The Emerald Necklace Vision Plan is supported by the Emerald Necklace Coalition, which includes 24 cities, three school districts, three homeowners associations, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, the San Gabriel and Lower Los Angeles and Mountain Conservancy and the Sierra Club.
